Going to the Doctor

John is not feeling well. For the last two days, he has had a headache and a sore throat. He also feels tired and weak.

In the morning, his condition gets worse. He decides to go to the doctor. He makes an appointment at a clinic near his house.

When he arrives, he goes to the reception desk. The receptionist asks for his name and gives him a form to fill in.

After a short wait, the nurse calls him.
“John? The doctor will see you now.”

John enters the doctor’s office. The doctor asks, “What are your symptoms?”

John says, “I have a headache, sore throat, and fever. I also feel very tired.”

The doctor listens carefully and checks his temperature and blood pressure. He also examines his throat.

After the examination, the doctor says, “You have a common viral infection. It is not serious.”

The doctor gives John a prescription for medicine.

“You need to take these tablets twice a day,” the doctor explains. “Drink plenty of water and rest.”

John goes to the pharmacy. He gives the prescription to the pharmacist and receives his medicine.

At home, he takes the medicine and rests in bed. After a few days, he starts to feel better.
